Creating and Using Landing Page Templates in SimpleEvents.io Enterprise
This article walks through the process of creating a landing page template, configuring it in SimpleEvents.io, and using it when creating events.
The Landing Page Templates feature on the Enterprise plan allows you to automatically generate event registration pages using reusable HubSpot landing page templates. By combining HubSpot page designs with SimpleEvents.io tokens, you can create branded event registration experiences in minutes.
Overview
Landing page templates work similarly to email templates:
- Create a landing page template in HubSpot.
- Insert SimpleEvents.io tokens where dynamic event information should appear.
- Save the page as a template.
- Configure the template inside SimpleEvents.io.
- Select the template when creating events.
When an event is created, SimpleEvents.io automatically:
- Creates a new landing page from your template.
- Replaces tokens with event-specific information.
- Associates the correct registration form.
- Creates supporting event assets.
Step 1: Review Available Tokens
Before building your template, review the available SimpleEvents.io tokens.
Navigate to:
SimpleEvents.io → Help Center → Enterprise → Available Tokens
Step 2: Create a Landing Page in HubSpot
In HubSpot:
- Navigate to Marketing → Website → Landing Pages
- Click Create Landing Page
- Select any theme or template you prefer
- Design the page as desired
SimpleEvents.io does not require special modules for landing pages. You simply place tokens wherever dynamic event information should appear.
Example
Replace static content such as:
Annual Cybersecurity Conference
with:
Replace static date text with:
Replace description content with:
Step 3: Add a Registration Form
Your registration page should contain either:
Option 1: Standard HubSpot Form
Insert a HubSpot form module and select any form as a placeholder.
SimpleEvents.io will replace the form during event creation.
Option 2: SimpleEvents Event Registration Module
If your account has access to the Event Registration Module:
- Add the module to the page.
- Select any marketing event temporarily.
This acts as a placeholder and will be configured automatically when the event is created.
Step 4: Save Your Template
After adding your content and tokens:
- Save the page.
- Give it a recognizable name.
Example:
Template Conference Registration
Important
You do not need to publish template pages.
Many customers prefer keeping templates unpublished, which is perfectly acceptable.
Step 5: Configure the Template in SimpleEvents.io
Return to SimpleEvents.io and navigate to your template settings.
- Select the landing page template you created.
- Select an optional thank-you page template.
- Select an optional HubSpot form template.
SimpleEvents.io will automatically detect matching template names.
Click Update to save your configuration.
Step 6: Associate Email Templates
Most events also use reusable email templates.
Select:
- Confirmation Email Template
- Reminder Email Template
These can be reused across multiple events and template sets.
Step 7: Create an Event
When creating an event:
- Enter an Internal Name.
- Enter a Public Event Name.
- Select your event type.
- Enter the event description.
- Select your template set.
- Configure date, time, and location.
- Enable Landing Page creation.
Click Create.
SimpleEvents.io will automatically:
- Generate the registration page.
- Populate all tokens.
- Associate the registration form.
- Create supporting workflows.
- Create email assets.
Step 8: Review the Generated Landing Page
After the event is created, open the generated registration page.
Verify:
Event Information
Confirm that the following content was populated correctly:
- Event title
- Date and time
- Description
- Location
Registration Form
Verify that the correct event registration form is connected.
Thank You Settings
HubSpot occasionally applies unexpected thank-you page settings.
Always review the form settings and confirm the thank-you message or page is correct before publishing.
Date and Time Formatting
SimpleEvents.io automatically formats date and time information based on the event schedule.
Single-Day Event
Example:
June 3, 2026
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Multi-Day Event
Example:
June 3, 2026 – June 4, 2026
No additional formatting is required.
Recommended Workflow
For the best experience:
